Wen Trying to Call Home

Here is our little man holding the red phone. It's amazing to miss someone you have never held or even see in person. I check for new pics of him daily. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and kiss all over his precious cheeks. I love you little man!

Love it!

He was so proud of himself to drink like "Bubba". We have resorted to calling Corbin Bubba because Willam can pronounce it. Maybe he will say Corbin and Allie one day ;)

Thirsty Boys!

Sometimes I get aggravated, tired, overwhelmed, and even threaten to return to the O.R. as a nurse. (then I would have to listen to grown men whine all day) Our days are sometimes long like today, but then right before bath time I find my boys drinking from the sprinkler and it makes me laugh LOUDLY! They have sprites on the porch, but would rather this...thank you God for every second you allow me to share with my children. I pray to never take one second of their lives for granted.

Just Because...pics are priceless

I take pics of my babies everyday. Either using my cell or the real camera. They are growing up so fast. I don't want to forget these memories. I hope everyone had a great Monday. Please be in prayer for my Mom right now. She will be having some tests done on Tuesday. Thanks :)

Paperwork to Consulate!

Willam and I made two copies of all the documents. We had to make an extra copy of our application due to cheeze puff marks. It was a wild morning. It was easier to wrestle him at home than at Kin+os with both boys. Then off to Fe#Ex we went. Here is a pic of my helper and a pic of the finished product. This may not be important stuff to you, but we are trying to bring Wen home to the Smith house SOON! For all the adoptive Mamas and Daddys this is serious stuff. My friend told me to kiss it before I mailed it. Much prayers...

Miss Stacy's Visit at Biggerdirt

We have enjoyed Miss Stacy being here. She is in Urania for the month of June to follow Brian during workdays. She is a medical student at Tulane Medical School. Since she is in the area we have begged asked her to come visit. She has been brave enough to go out and about with the Smith bunch. The boys have shot her with several nerf bullets, made her build train tracks, and Miss Allison is making her play the WII right now. She still agrees to come back...she must be bored in Urania. We have really enjoyed her visits. I have asked her SEVERAL questions about her family, traditions, geography, and language. Thank you for being patient with some of my NOT so intelligent questions. You are going to be a wonderful physician SOON :) We love you!

Happy Father's Day

I know the picture is blurry, but its PRICELESS to me. The men of our church are up front out of submission to our pastor. He asked them to come forward to be prayed over by Pastor Terry Shock. The leader of my home, father of my children, and my very best friend was in that large crowd of men. I can't explain how grateful and humble that makes me. Happy Father's Day Brian! Thank you for leading our children and me to the foot of the cross. I love you!

Moments

We are so busy during the day. I try very hard to spend time with God, time playing with our babies, and then time for laundry, cooking etc...Of course it's not ever in this order like it should be. This is one of those moments that makes me think about my priorities. Corbin wrapped in his Daddy's arms safe from the world. Jesus never let me forget your love for us. Never let me take for granted your protection over my family and my home. Thank you for sharing these amazing babies with me and trusting me with them. Just a moment I don't want to forget.

Black Widows

This is what has tried to take over our home. Our house was built last year and before we moved in we found a couple of live Widows. Those were the first I had ever seen. Well, I sorta flipped out then. Poor Brian had to move all wood piles waaay away from my porches. I wanted every scrap pile from building to be burned. Then I harassed the bugman to say the least. I called him to come out three times while getting moved in. We are totally on a first name basis now. I need to add him to my Christmas card list.
Now we arrive here June 2011.... they are back with a vengence. We were landscaping and found one in an old deer stand. BTW at biggerdirt landscaping involves tractors, wood piles with fire, and dirt. The goal is to rid the area of vines and old wood (this is where these critters live). That was no big deal. UNTIL Saturday when Corbin was in the PANTRY looking for a snack. "Hey I see a bad black spider ya'll" I almost ignored him because surely they wouldn't be in the pantry. Brian saw it and went for the broom, SHE ran and hid in the ziploc box. After throwing half the food out of the pantry she was found alive to show all children including a friend sleeping over these are really bad. Then we go on a hunt. Stripping all bed sheets, turning over beds, turning over all outdoor stuff, spraying everywhere. Brian found three live ones in Corbin's ride-on tractor, others in various places, and then the poor bugman is being harassed again. He came yesterday and fogged (didn't know they did this) the yard and sprayed inside. The boys and I set out this morning to make sure they were all dead. WHATEVER!!! That's when I took this picture. This was one of four that were not dead. Ugh....the total is somewhere around 15 black widows. I would love any suggestions. I'm almost ready to move for the summer. Most importantly, please pray for protection of our kids. I'm very worried for their safety. I realize fear is not of the Lord. But, I have almost been consumed by it on this subject. We LOVE playing outside, but don't want to play with these.

Some of the Party People

Corbin says her real name is Grandma and her nickname is "Graeur". That's what he called her before he could say Grandma.

Ms. Dawn gave him "LOTS" of dollars :)

A beautiful girl that Corbin will completely follow anywhere and do almost anything she asks. He is a smart boy!!!

Gorgeous smile!!! We already had to read Toy Story 3

Look at the BLUE eyes on these two!

I don't even know what this is called, but the adults should have tried it. Excellent workout!

Two Harris girls. Say CHEEZE!

Trouble meets Trouble...

FINALLY FOUR!!! Thank you God for my precious little man. He is all BOY and non-stop most of the time. I love every second of it. Even when I'm screaming because he is jumping from the bar onto the couch. Or, carrying some kind of LIVE critter inside by it's tail. Or, when he is asking why for the 1,427th time that morning. And, even when he crawls into our bed (I'm against co-sleeping) and says "I need your arm to lay on so I can sleep mom". I never knew how amazing little boys were until God brought you into my world.
I love you Corbin J. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Corbin

Our baby has wanted for months to be able to really say "I am four". He woke up this morning and said "can I really say it now"? Yes baby, you are four just like Will.

I won't even comment here
They even let me attend the PARTY!
She is the one who refused to let him say "I'm four" till today. haha

Who can say no to that face???

Sunday Nap

Church and lunch wore this baby out. Instead of one of those fancy pillows to hold his head up, we used "clean" diapers. He didn't mind.

Eyes With Variety

Thank you God for the color in this world! From our baby with dark brown...
To Miss Allison with dark brown...
To Corbin's big greens that can be very mischievious most of the time....

And I get lost in these baby blues quite often!
Thank you God for color!
